Plumbing!! It always takes at least 3 trips to the store and longer than estimated.

Building a kit from your stash is like cutting a head off a Hydra, two more take it's place.

Whose turn was it last to stand there with the oil can?

I sure Hope so
I wonder if they're going to put them in a museum.
Nope, a german firm bought them and is shipping them back home, its a good deal for us as we actually made money on them as they paid more for them than we did back in the day. BUT I'm sure we had pieces/parts need to be made as well over the years.
Can't get parts for those anymore. Are they going to give one to a musuem?
I posted several photos of an old pump motor we are changing out at one of out Pump stations to my facebeook page. Hope you can see the pictures.
This old motor was manfactures by Deutz, its the same company and motor used in World War II German Submarines. We are replacing them from one of our drainage Pump Stations in St. Bernard. One motor is still in use and slated to be replaced in 2018. These motors were insalled in 1952 as war surplus when the drainage station was built. The motor still operaters and runs well. We are replacing them with new Cummings Deisels, I seriously doubt we'll get 65 years. out of the newer Cummings.
