Looks like you did a fine job laying down the wood deck ... it looks great!

You are also doing very well indeed on the PE - that the stuff that drives me to distraction sometimes but it does give the appearance of more realistic scale than do the plastic kit parts in most cases.

Tanker - Builder

Hi Surfsup;

     I have been watching this with interest. I have to say the decks look great ! I am doing the same to -Don't Laugh ! The Lindberg Bismark . Using the same referrences too !

     There are some gross inaccuracy issues , but they are fixable . Believe it or not the Tirpitz from the same company does not have exactly the same parts as most would believe . So a Kitbash is in order .Got most of the surgery done and now modifying the parts to fit right .

      This job is not for the faint of heart though. T.B.

Thanks TB. Doing the same on the old Lindberg Kit would have me tearing my Hair out but still will be interesting to see how yours turns out....Cheers Mark

    Hi surfsup, wow that wooden deck looks amazing. I was sceptical of them at first but seeing how well they enhance your deck, I may go looking for a set when I get to building on my ships. Very nice.

Thanks my Friend. I was unsure of them when I first started using them but now I am glad I did. Had a few problems with one of them. I use MK1 Decks as I think they are the best.....Cheers Mark

Ye, thats where i got the items i already have from, i got them from his e-bay site. There is a company in the UK that has the vetren stuff but don't always have it in stock and it wasn't much more to get them from BMA.

I have the Revell Bismarck kit and a rather large Lion Roar PE set. I need to go through the both of them and get an idea of what the lights and some other parts will look like and if its worth getting the vetrenparts. having paid about £100 for the PE i don't really want to be buying resin if i don't need it, thats why i only got the smaller AA guns.

I did have great service from BMA, i think even with the postage it was not much more than i would have got them for in the UK and i have ordered from them since, i will deffinetly use them again.

If you want to display all 7 you will need 2 Boxes as there are only 6 in a box. If you wish to use the Covers on the 2 on the Stack then only use 1 Box.....Cheers mark

Some nice progress, those guns do look nice. I didn't get those ones for mine as the Lion Roar set has barrels and some PE to do them up nicely. But its good to see what their stuff looks like.
