I'm about ready to order one. Has anyone actually seen one?
Don Stauffer in Minnesota
CV2 or CV16? Is there a new 1/200 CV2 I don't know about?
Sorry Don, I'm not much into WW2 American carriers although I'd certantly build one if one fell into my hands.
Are you going to order the 1/350 Trumpy or the 1/525 Lindberg?
Steve
Building a kit from your stash is like cutting a head off a Hydra, two more take it's place.

Scalemates has a big paper model listed, mde by a company called GPM in Poland. It seems to have been around the last dozen years or so.
Model Monkey has a lot of stuff for the ship at that scale. Maybe he klnows more- you might ask them.

Modeling is an excuse to buy books.
Hi Don;
G.P.M. in Poland has one in 1/200 in Card."G " was correct about that. I believe Maly Modelarz also has one in 1/250. Not sure haven't seen one since my old Revell Box Scale kit from many years back.

The Trumpy!
I am building the 1/350 Trumpeter CV-2.
Is that the one?
Its a nice kit. Simple but BIG.
She was the largest warship in the world, I think a dozen or so feet longer than the Saratoga.
Half of the aircraft are SBDs. Not hard to find.
One small complaint. The hull is put together with the Saratoga, which has a more narrow forward flight deck, and add on front corners left and right to get the extra width. Some big seams to cover up.
GMorrison, why would Lexington be about 12' longer then Saratoga when they both started from same class of battlecruisers before conversion to aircraft carriers?
Lexington Dimensions (max.): (As of March 1936) 887' 8.5" x 106' 11.625" / 270.6 x 32.6 meters

I guess I switched them in my head.
