It may depend upon just what parts they are.

NY & Texas were sisters, after a fashion, given how far apart they were built, they were to the same general plans.

The major differences are in the fighting tops, and in some of the refit parts after '44.

Trumpy made the NY sprues first, and may have just economised and used NY sprues where they (per Trumpy) matched.  So, the mis-matched sprue may not be a deal breaker.

If there were major differences the kits failed to capture, there'd be aftermarket by now--and, largely the only things out there are the tops and the turrets, which will be more down to what you have determined you want from the plans.

Also, while the rumpy kits build up decent from the box, a good set of plans, and either the Pontos or Big Ed detail kits will really pop the build out.  (The Pontos stuff really wants checking against plans and references, they are good, but occasionaly err.)

Good luck, the Texas kit builds into a nice model.

You are stuck. Trumpeter if they respond will tell you to deal with Squadron. Squadron is in Chapter 11.

Try to trade your kit with another modeler, or look for that sprue.

Try contacting other retailers of trumpeter, they might have a better idea of how to get replacement parts.

Best bet might be to keep an eye on ebay, once in awhile sellers have individual sprues.

I purchased the 350 scale Trumpeter Texas from Squadron last year and finally got around to starting it but it appears one of the sprues is switched to one from the New York. I'm trying to get in touch with Trumpeter but frankly, their service is lacking.  Anyone have any way I can get parts or any idea what to do? I've waited decades for a kit of the Texas and have no desire to build the New York.
