I saw that and said the same thing. Not a chance.

The Dragon kits are pretty elderly; they were some of the company's earliest releases in the late 80s/early 90s. They weren't great models. The last time I remember seeing one of the Dragon kits being reissued was around 2010. It was in their Cyber-Hobby orange box branding and had CG-48 Yorktown and a Soviet sub in the same box. There's at least one on eBay right now, not mine. And there's no way I would pay $70 plus shipping for one.

I've heard rumor that Trumpeter was going to come out with one. I've been wanting one as well but don't really want the Dragon offering, if you can even find one.

Steve

Building a kit from your stash is like cutting a head off a Hydra, two more take it's place.

Message me offline.  I have a Mobile Bay we can work a deal on.

No pity here. I'm 71 and will likely never get around to building it

Short answer - No. Longer answer - Dragon made the only 1/350 Aegis cruiser and Spruance destroyer models I’m aware of in plastic. Dragon has largely dropped out of the plastic model business altogether the last few years, but especially in non armor subjects. It’s probably been at least a decade since the last time one of these kits was issued. I’d say based on that, the chances of any reissue are likely low, and your only source would be to keep an eye on the secondary markets like eBay. Or hope that some modeler will take pity on you.

Hello everybody,

I'm hoping somebody here can point me in the right direction. I have been searching for 1/350 Aegis class cruisers and can't seem to find any. Every site I've been to says out of stock with no indication of replenishment. Are they still manufacturing those ship models? I served onboard the USS San Jacinto CG56 so it's more of a personal thing for me to find this model.
