My U.S.S. Salem arrived a couple days ago.  I have he gun barrels and the wood decking.  They include the P.E in the kit but I'm thinking of getting some spare railings and checking to see if there any aftermarket for the smaller guns.  The hull is in two pieces and a quick glance at the rest looks ok.  We'll see.  It arrived early and I should send a note to the seller, thanking him.

I'll start this one after Modelpalooza in October, but for now I have a special scratchbuilding project I have got to finish

I just got a notice that the USS Salem is on its way, followed by a e-mail from the seller apologizing for the delay.

The guns and the deck have already arrived, now all I need is a P.E. set.  Still looking for that.  I thought of just buying a generic set but I need radars and other things specific for this class of ship.

I have tried a few of Veryfire PE set and the're not bad, on par with Tom's I'd say.

I would think the set is generic unless it states otherwise. Veryfire is an up and comming manufacturer and am intrested in trying one of their ships.

Building a kit from your stash is like cutting a head off a Hydra, two more take it's place.

I've been looking for detail sets for ships and need a set for Tamiya's Mossouri and Veryfire shows they have one, but I can't tell if it's for their own model or the Tamiya kit, and don't know if it will fit the Tamiya  I have gotten some of the things I need for the USS Salem except the kit which hopefully I should  in a month or so  an the PE set.

Anybody have experience with this company or some advice?

Gold Medal Models does a PE set for both modern and WWII Tamiya Missouri.
Runs $50 last I checked.
