Scratchbuilding parts

Well drawings are really difficult to find for many things.
I use this book for most of my reference

However these ships back then were pretty much limited to the old style "rail launchers" Although, by the end of the war, the precurser to the Mk5 launcher, the "MK10" had been developed, but did not see service.

You will probably have to take the time to e-mail Floating Drydock, or other plan suppliers to see if they can verify they have what you seek. Otherwise you may have to spend time in the book stores looking for books similare to the one I linked above, or books like these:

Again, the difficulty is finding data on the era between WWII, and the "Modern" military.

Those pics might work. It is not so much detail than if you seen what Lindberg gives you. It is like a small chunck of plastic with the base having a slight taper.

The reason I was wondering where one can get detail drawings for armament is because I have seen over the years in FSM, modelers building scratchbuilt 1/96 ships like the USS Enterprise and an Arleigh Burke (Forgive spelling errors) USS KIDD, I trying to go with my memory so also forgive if my classes are a little off. These are like 5 to 6 feet long or longer ships but the article never say where they get the armament information from. I have looked at Floating Drydock and Pacific Hobbies, etc. but I do not know if with the plans everything is need to build the ship including armament plans. Some day, I would like to attempt the scratchbuilding part of modeling.

So not even these two, I posted earlier show enough for your build up??

Or perhaps I am misunderstanding, and you just need an image of how to orient the "slabs of plastic"

Here is an image with the weather tarps over the Launchers. They look pretty slab like.

The links have some good pics but they do not come close to what the detail on the model has. A slb of styrene for the launchers and a slab of styrene for the base. You cannot tell which way they should be glue because of non clear instructions and lack of detail to home in on. Does anyone know if there are blow up pics of these type launchers? I am basically using this ship model as a learning aid but would like it to look as real as possible. Any ever build one of these models?

It's really just a matter of knowing where to look.

Snoopy, gool luck trying to build weapons for 1/350 scale! any open mount guns will be really hard to make but not impossible. closed mounts are pretty staight forward. Did you check the steel-navy.com? lot's of stuff there. I will check a few other things and get back to you.

Floating Drydock will have drawings of USN stuff only...I would suggest Pacific Front Hobbies for anything else.
