As those of you who've gotten the Eduard's parts, have probaly noticed, the fore and after decks are somewhat oversize.
Eduard directs you to sand down the fore and after deck sections, on the kit decks, and glue the PE deck sections on top of them. When you do, you'll notice that there is overhang on the Eduard parts.
I haven't glue the hull halves together, yet, but a rough, test, fitting indicates that the over hang is not true overhang. It simple lets the PE decks reach the outer edges of the hull.
It may be that, it's going to be neccessary to sand down the hull edges, slightly. To allow the PE decks to seat snugly. Once everything is in place, sand the edges to, round them slightly, and give a smooth appearance to the edges.
If you're not using the kit decks, you'll still have to use the fore and aft deck sections. The Eduard parts are too light to use independantly. And don't cut the end of the bow section. You need the bull nose.
So don't go trimming things, till you know exactly how they'll fit. These up grades are GREAT! But they add the possible number of screw-ups, to numbers, figured in the powers of ten. Go slow and keep checking, as you go..
