Good to see someone else who served on board the "Top Gun of the Fleet" I worked on the flight deck and the cross deck pendant and associated arresting gear cables are 1 7/16 " in dia. This is one on deck after an accident where we lost a Tomcat.

What about 1/600 cables for something like the USS Forrestal? I have the Airfix kit and am looking at detailing it a bit more.
