Hopefully one of my last insane detail questions for my 1/700 Victory ship - I know the ones my Dad sailed on typically had deck cargo not only on the main deck, but also on the hatch covers as well, so I am attempting to replicate this with resin deck cargo crates, bales and drums I got from Loose Cannon Productions.
But what about No. 1 hatch, the one closest to the bow? The few photos I've found of late-war Victory ships don't show that area (naturally), but I'm guessing that nothing was put on that hatch cover because it was the most exposed to wave action and the elements. Any other info would be appreciated.
