I am glad that you can share this with us. I will keep this in mind. Can you give me the actual package details like the name of the product and manufacturing name or even product item #. This will also help and keep all the guess work out of when I go to the hobby store, I can ask for the product by actual name instead of using the term crimp beads. Even though some store helpers might know what I am talking about, it would be nice to have the other info in hand.

I bought these beads at Hobby Lobby. The first ones I tried are from Jewelry Shoppe and are 2 mm crimp beads (50 cents per package of 24 but bead stuff is half off this week!). Here is the web site from the package www.craftsetc.com The other ones I tried today are called crimp tubes and are made by Beadalon www.beadalon.com. I used the 1.3mm ones. According to the packaging they sell a crimping tool that smashes the crimp tube into a rounded shape. I have just been smashing them flat with pliers. Hmmm.....rounded might look better. I wonder how much that crimp tool costs. Half off at Hobby Lobby might be worth it.
