I'm looking for advice on how to blacken items formed from brass or
steel wire. This is not for a ship incidentally, but for a farm
cart model. I want to make the parts look like blackened iron and
then make them look 'rusty'.
I've read there are chemical solutions that can be used, is there anything available commercially?
