3 russian ship water dio with link to pics

Very nice, paintchips! I look forward to the closeups.

I find 1/700 scale awfully hard, too: splayed fingertips from a lifetime of keyboarding (typewriters, computers and keyboard instruments) means tweezers-only building.

I like the dio, but you need to zoom in and show the details. Sometimes it reminded me of the 1/2400 scale from GHQ. But they look nice.

Spacing is too close, but it still looks good.

Thank you for the comments.  I took a few close ups last night and will try to get them on the link tonight.  I also have the jets for the deck that came in about 6 weeks ago, but with the weather getting nice my modeling time has gotten pretty slim.  Decals, yes a pain, the trumpeter set that came with the kit fell apart when i was putting them on.  I am surprised it came out as well as they did.  I know they are too close, but i want to do a 1/350 scale water dio in the next year or two and wanted to get as much practice as i could on the 1/700 scale.  I thought the russian ships would be fun because they are so different.

yeah a really good job man. Sort of makes me want to do one.Maybe one day in the future...too much on the plate now with moving.

It was fun doing it, got to be a little more on the Artsy side after a while, but I will admit it was fun.  I did purchase a 1/700 scale PE set and when it came in the mail i just laughed.  Its still sitting in the bag it came in. 

The carrier wasn't too bad at the 1/700 level, but the cruiser was a pain.  It definitely gives me more admiration for the guys doing the wooden ships and tying all the masts.

The 1/350 trumpeter USS Yorktown it the ultimate end to the water dio project.  I am thinking of starting it in the fall/winter.  I think it will take a substantial amount of time, we will see.
