The guys with M-16s don't like people with cameras around here. but here is a look at the Greenville in Drydock One at Pearl Harbor (the USS Pennsylvania's berth during the attack on Dec.7, 1941). The funny thing about 688's is when surfaced, they have an upward pitchof a few degrees that can be felt when walking from aft to forward. It gives them a peculiar looking waterline when sitting level on keelblocks. Here's alink: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:USS_Greeneville_in_dry_dock.jpg

Just in case anyone here is interested in this; 688s are being painted in a new way now. The entire hull with the exception of the portion that is exposed when surfaced and the torpedo doors, sonar dome and the after cone that includes the rudders and dive planes, is being done in a what appears to be a gunship gray finish (flat). I don't know for sure about the Tridents but would say they will probably get the same treatment. The other surfaces mentioned above are still getting the semi gloss/satin black finish as in the past.
