Hi Tom, I'm in the process of building the USS Fletcher by Tamiya in 1/350 scale. I noticed the dark blue deck, so I airbrushed the main deck, bridge, gun and signal decks first. I dull coated the finished decks and then I hand painted the non-stick surface which is prevalent on Navy ships, so I had to use a steady hand. If there were any booboo's the dull coat makes it easy to clean up any mistakes. If you're airbrushing the bulkheads you really don't need to mask anything if you paint them at the proper angles. You should paint the parts with deck surfaces first. I'm only half finished but so far its coming out OK. After its finished I'll post on the site. Good luck and I hope this helps. TigerII
