Thanks Al. I'll fix the halyards. Thanks for correction and thanks again to the SO radar mast drawing. Now, if I could just find a couple of 1/35 , affordable, 20 mm and lightweight mounts to put in front of the front torpedos......

Ed, it looks like you're doing a fine job.  Italeri has misinterpreted the flag halyards on the radar mast as some sort of rod support.  If you get rid of the two vertical pieces and replace them with thread, you'll have the correct configuration.  That box on the port side of the forward bulkhead of the day cabin is the "flag bag", in which they kept the signal flags.

Here are some photos of my efforts so far. I normally build plane and armor. These  photos show the major sub-assemblies set in place w/o glue. The mast hinge pins are not the final pieces. I have more details to add to the mast but I think it looks pretty close.
