I am finally - I think - done with my WWII Liberty ship and am ready to move on to the base. I'm going to make my first attempt at water, using the acrylic gel method, but - I want to show my Liberty in a typical North Atlantic winter setting, i.e., pretty darn big waves! - and am at a loss as to how to have those tall waves going out to the edge of the display base and ending in reasonably perpendicular angles.
I thought about using appropriately-sized plastic strip or sheet to build "walls" around the base, but the gel would stick to that as well. Any suggestions before I make to hideous a mess would be appreciated.
