I've had good luck with Evergreen material of all shapes and sizes on ship models.........the only thing to watch out for is thin material melting into a glob from your styrene glue/welder. I use Tenax sparringly.

Evergreen makes styrene sheet in thicknesses down to 0.005"  (five thousandths) -- that works to 0.0127 mm.   Their 0.010 (ten thousandths) should work to be about 0.254 mm (2.54 * 0.010).

Need very thin plastic strips or sheets for 1/350 Yamato model

I need very thin plastic strips to model the overlapping plate joints on hull side and torpedo blister. The hull plating is less than 1" thick, which in 1/350 works out to about 0.075mm. I tried Plastistruct's 0.3mm strips, but visually they appear unrealistically thick. I think 0.1mm would look close enough. Does anyone know of any source for really thing plastic strips or sheets? I could not find any Plastistruct catalogue, and my local hobby shop doesn't have anything less than 0.3mm.   Does anyone know where I can find a Plastistruct catalogue, or another source that might offer plastic sheets less than 0.3 mm thick?
