Capstan bar stowage on USS Constitution

BUMP.................................................back to the top. Surely someone visited the Constitution and noticed where the bars were stowed ?

I visitd the ship back in 2005, the capstan as you know when down at least 2 decks and the bars to turn the massive capstan were stowed in the underside of the top deck in a metal rail just forward of the capstan.
