Still Working it.... More Corsair Progress

Scott, I'm glad you have some ideas from my work. I used the little square bottle Testor's Gloss Brown for the mahogany cabins and rail tops, and Testor Model Master dark Tan for the deck. I will maybe give it a dark brown wash, and probably also dry-brush the deck with some light tan/grey rto see if I can make it look more like wood than tan-painted plastic. I'm still working on figuring out the best ways to paint some of the details that are not called out on the instruction sheet.

I got this kit at the kit drawing at last years Nationals and can't wait to start it.  I have been at a loss on where to begin as far as painting it and not making it look cheap, but by seeing your pictures, I just might have some ambition to begin it now.

Looks really good so far Maddog. I fancy trying a boat or a sub at some point. If it looks half as good as yours is now ill be well chuffed.
