That's excellent for your first ship...my first was the Revell Schnell-Boot (however you spell that) ...I'm not much into ships, just an occasional sub and I love PT boats.

Very nice build! I also noticed the stack colors. I like it. Although the Titanic fans can argue for hours on what makes "White Star Buff", I feel if it looks right, it is right.

To be honest, I don't remember. I made a mix of paint. I used the titanic-model.com as a reference but I can't remember what I did... Turned out perfect though.

Oh wow!! I'm working on my first ship in a long time, and your Titanic inspires me. What color did you use for the buff on the stacks?

Really nice model, piflo.

This is the 1/350 Minicraft that came with photoetch but also added Tom's Modelworks Photoetch parts.

The funny thing is, the rigging is what I was dreading the whole time.  I wasn't even gonna do the radio antenna running across the top, but thought, hey, I will try.  Turned out way better than I thought I was capable of.

Total rigging time took about 2-4 hrs.  A little each night for about 4 nights.  I used transparent nylon and a flame to tighten it.

Great work. Don't forget to post your pics of your latest project.

When it comes to rigging in 350 you might also like to look into a model railroad supply called EZLine which is really interesting. It remains flexible while looking taut. It comes in colors and different sizes. Check it out and see if you like it. WS

Very nice, how long did all of the rigging take?

Nice clean build, and you did a great job on the rigging. Is the the Revell 1/570 kit?

Finished Titanic (First Ship)

Hello All,

Thought I would post some pictures of my finished Titanic.  Took about a year off and on.  This is my first ship.  I use to only build WWII aircraft, but over the last year or so, I have done some tanks, Helio's, sci-fi.  I am currently working on the 1/350 Tamiya Musashi.
