That's correct.
There are three views on a lines drawing. The body plan has the cross section curves that are aligned with the vertical station lines on the side view (sheer profile). Mark those station lines on your hull and then you can cut your cross section templates from the body plan and use those to guide shaping the hull. Place the cross section template at its corresponding station line on the hull to check the shape of the hull at that point. Do this with each cross section template, checking often as you shape the hull.
