Hello Everyone,I picked up Revell's 1:8 astronaut a while back and wanted to re-create that famous photo of Buzz Aldrin on the moon. Here's the photo:Here is my model, hope you enjoy it. It was a fun build.
Nice looking model. How did you do the reflection images in the helmet visor?

Thanks!
The reflection on the visor was quite easy, I blew up the photo of Buzz to 1:8 scale then cut out the reflection and stuck it to the inside of his visor. I thought it was kinda cool to use an image from the photo that I was trying to re-create.
That is an OUTSTANDING build Darren!!!!!!!!!!! Very clever on the reflection in the visor!!!
Love your work on this one Darren, top shelf stuff! The base, suit, and backdrop are very well done, but it is that visor that really sets it off. Well done!
Frank
Thanks lads!
Fantastic. The image in the visor makes this a very special model. It's beautiful.
It looks really good, the only problem I have is the lack of shading on the folds of his suit.
