You're no longer the odd man out! I've never had trouble either, but I have a light touch and usually spray a bit more dry than most folks. If you spray the stuff on too heavy it's naturally gonna react with the pastel and some of it will disperse.

I suppose it all comes down to technique, like everything else in this hobby...

I had problems with Dullcote over pastels but learned on a tip to just create a "mist" around the model instead of spraying directly onto the model. Works pretty good.

Something I have done with satisfactory results, and this requires a lot of trial and error, is over exagerate the dust and then spray a light dusting of dull or gloss coat. I mainly use Model Master acrylic dull coat straight from the bottle.

As with most tips and techniques, trial and error may be required to satisfactory results.

I've tried sealing pastel dust with dull coat and found that you pretty much loose the effect of the pastels, they just blend in. I don't bother trying anymore. If I find that the pastels have worn off from handling the model too much, I'll just touch them up a bit, especially just before a show.
