about real looking worn out paint???

Hi guys!

hey, i am trying to make a real worn out paint job on a p-61, i used gunze zangyo off white as a prymer, then i used the buffing metalizer of model master, and as a final coat i used again gunze zangyo olive drab, i tryed to peel off the olive drab with a masking tape but didnt peel off the way i wanted, i tryed again by scratching a thoot pick over the olive drab but looks horrible, please, i ran out of ideas i dont know what am i doing wrong, i know is a weird experiment but i have seen a lot of planes with worn out paint jobs and they look amazing!

please help me
