Canopy Future Question

I tried dipping one in future after I painted it. It ruined my nicely painted frame. I usually dip the canopy as soon as I start the build and ,buy the time I'm ready to paint it, it has completely cured and is safe for masking.

The Future needs to cure at least 48 hours and even longer is better. I suggest one of the first things you do is to dip in Future and than set it aside in a dust free environment. Now start building your model. By the time you get back to painting the canopy the Future should be fully cured and provide a smooth hard surface. I will usually repeat the Future process after painting because no matter how careful I am I usually end up putting a hairline scratch somewhere on the canopy. The Future does a good job of making these scratches (assuming the're minor) disappear.

let it dry a minimum of 24 hours (preferably 48 hours) and you won't have any problem from masking tape pulling off the Future coat

Before you paint.


Just dip, and set on some paper towel for a couple of minutes to wick away any excess Future, then move it to somewhere where it can be covered to dry overnight.
