Back Scribing

I guess we all kind of develop our own vocubulary along the way.

In general, however, the English word "scribing" indicates an action that LEAVES a line, not removes one.

Also, where the heck did you even get the word "spurge?"

I call that scraping, not scribing, but sure that's an easy way to remove the mold separation lines. Finish up with a light sanding.

Sorry, I'm afraid you haven't.
What do you mean by "spurge lines?" Are you referring to mold separation lines, which appear on parts where the two halves of the mold come together?
If so, then, yes, I do remove them.
But you should check references of the vehicle you are building: I've seen pix of real Sherman roadwheels with that exact line on the tires!

Also, what do you mean by "back scribing," as stated in the title of your post?
