Brake fluid is for two things.......brake cylinders and taking paint from your AUTOMOBILE by accident!

Just don't leave your parts in there for mare than a few days. A nearly impenetrable white crud builds up on parts left for long periods. I left a couple car bodies in for a week or so and could not remove the buildup, I had to toss them.

Hey all,

I recently botched a paint job on my AAV and needed to strip the paint.  I ran across this at Walmart: http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/41SR1AYHY6L._SL500_AA280_.jpg

WHAT AN AWESOME JOB IT DID.

The paint used on the model was a mix of acrylic, enamel and lacquer.  This stuff stripped it all within an hour.  It does not smell bad, is biodegradable, and can be washed down the sink when done.  I didn't have to scrub the model at all.  All the paint from every nook and cranny was removed.  Incredible!!!!  I tried it on the vinyl tracks and it work there too.  There was absolutely no damage to the plastic or vinyl after letting it soak for an hour.

If you need to strip some paint, you gotta try this stuff.

Glad you discovered it Jesse. Many of us here have been telling others about it for years now.  Wink [;)]

Auto modelers refer to it as " throwing the car in the purple pond". LOL

It's funny that you posted this topic because, I am looking for a way to strip the paint off of my A-10's engine inlet intake blades. I will give it a shot and I hope I get the same results you did. Thanks.
