I made the poor choice of showing a model car I am making for my wife before it was done. I was going to put purple butterflies over it (...i mean skulls and stuff...
) on a yellow base color. Well, the yellow reminded her of a taxi cab so she suggested I add a taxi sign because it would be "cute". No big deal right? I opened my big mouth and mentioned adding a checker pattern starting about the front doors to around the rear wheel hubs (its a VW beetle). It sounds really cool, and she loved the idea. I am daunted by the task of painting a thousand squares on a very curvey surface. I'm thinking about using some pin striping tape cut into squares as a mask and then airbrushing it. Does anyone have and other ideas?
