Hi Philo,

Love this tri-color scheme ! Brilliant job !

I know it's been a while but do you remember which colors you used on this Corsair ??

Yes you are right Philo. But,,, since I don't have an airbrush yet I'll settle for one colour now.

Thanks for sharing yours, you did an awesome job.

Jerry,

That's the formula according to the website.  Or parenthetically the exact match (Hu181).

Yes, that's perect,,,,Thank you Tim.

12*Hu:21 + 10*Hu:15 + 4*Hu:68 + 3*Hu:22 (Hu:181)

Does that mean 12 parts of Humbrol 21 + 10 parts of Humbrol 15 + 4 parts of Humbrol 68 + 3 parts of Humbrol 22

Jerry,

According to IPMS Stockholm, here, the mix ratios are:

A/N 607 (NS Sea Blue) -- 12*Hu:21 + 10*Hu:15 + 4*Hu:68 + 3*Hu:22 (Hu:181, 1*Hu:189 + 1*Hu:182)

A/N 606 (SG Sea Blue) -- 12*Hu:21 + 10*Hu:15 + 4*Hu:68 + 3*Hu:22 (Hu:134)

Thanks for the reply Frank. According to the chart it's 181, but 181 is discountinued. I tried 25 and 109 but still it's not it. I guess I'm gonna have to mix some.

Has anyone ever mix this colour using Hunbrol paints?

Jerry,

According to these paint charts, Humbrol 182 should be the one you need. Wink [;)]

Corsair F4U-4 paint?????
Posted by Aceman on Saturday, March 21, 2009 7:58 PM

I'm building a Revell Corsair 1/48th scale. I'm kind of stuck now on which colour to use for the main body.  The instructions says to paint it Federal Standard FS 15042. But I only have Humbrol paints. Has anyone ever used Humbrol paint on Corsair's body and which number did you use or a mixture that matches it the best? Any help would be awesome.
