The 3155 is basically a Badger 155 Anthem with a fine tip, needle, regulator, of the Anthem 155, and the trigger, needle tube/ rocker assenbly of an Omni 3000. Thats how you get a Hybrid 3155.

Keilau,

The 3155 was designed by Jay Livery for T-shirt airbrushing and automotive work and Badger liked the idea and put it into production.  I have one as well and like it although I have not used it a lot.

Jay Livery is a very talented airbrush artist and a good friend of Ken Schlotfeldt. I have spoken with him several times as well.

I don't get your question.  I never say that the 100 and 155 share parts. If you look at this page I show a cut-away of the 100 and a parts breakdown of the 155 and the head assemblies are very different.  A 3155 needle would never work in a 100.  For one thing, it has a knob on the back end.

Don

Don,

Thank you for the clarification. Being not a Badger user, I just guessed that all the 1xx series Badger have common parts. I am dead wrong.

Badger may create a 3100 Hybrid someday. Or may be not since it will compete with the Renegade Velocity.

It is wonderful to see all the new products from Badger and Paasche in the last year.

No, the 3155 is a different taper from the 100 series "old" head design.

Does the 100 series and the 155 share parts? According to Don Wheeler:

Badger makes a model 3155 airbrush which is a 155 with a finer needle.
The parts that are different are:
    Needle         P/N 51-081DT
    Tip              P/N 41-003
    Regulator      P/N 41-033
The tip and regulator also fit the model 175 brush.
I was able to get all three parts for about $15.

I use a 100LG with fine needle/tip for everything except NMF and clearcoats, and I am extremely happy with the combo. Thumbs Up [tup]

Badger 100LG needle size?
Posted by Lacquer Head on Tuesday, March 31, 2009 1:15 PM
WooHoo!!! SWBO says that I can get a new airbrush for my birthday. I have decided on the Badger 100LG, but what size needle should I get? I build 1/48th aircraft and 1/35 armour and I use enamels and lacquers.
