I have several types of thinner but the alcohol works great and its like $.97 for a large bottle.

I use the Testor's Universal Acrylic Thinner for MM paints, including the flat coat.

70% Iso. Alcohol?? Perfect!

I use isopropyl alcohol for my thinner in both acrylics and enamels.  Just make sure its 70 percent or you will have to thin it down with water.  Whats nice about it is the alcohol evaporates pretty quickly causing less runs in the paint.

can you use anything to thin out a flat coat? water? Future? something else? I'd like to get the most use out of my jar as I can. It is ModelMaster Acrylic flat clear. any help would be nice!
