Badger 100LG , which model?

I also own a Badger 200 and a 100LG, and the LG is used with the fine tip.  I use it for 90% of my spraying, on 1/35 armor and 1/48 aircraft.

I bought a Badger 100LG last year and have used it almost exclusively since. I've only got medium head and needle, but find that's pretty much all i need for 1/72 aircraft and 1/48 armour.

I'll admit i can't get a "pencil/needle" fine line, but i think that might have more to do with my skills than the airbrush.

I think if you got the 100LG fine, given you already have the 200 medium, you'll probably be set for quite a while!

I'm sure you won't be disappointed with the 100LG, it's a fantastic airbrush.

Do they have the same level of details? How is the 100LG different from the 200 in modeling task? (Other than that the 200 trigger goes up and down and the 100LG trigger goes back and forth.)

They are identical in spray characteristics and detail, though I find it simpler to dial in fine lines with the 200.

I started out with the 150 medium, and bought a very slightly used 100LG with all three head assemblies and needles, though I use it with the medium. Then I added a 200-20 medium. Finally I bought a 100LG fine from the Badger Garage Sale ($35). So obviously I can't make up my mind!

I would be inclined to get the 100LG fine, and buy a medium needle for the 100 series, and a fine needle for the 200. Then you could swap them around, as they share the parts for the head and air valve.

I find I use the 100LG most of the time, and the 200 for small details as it is easier to dial in the needle position (and keep it there!) with the 200. I find I can pull a finer line with the 200 medium than I can with the 100 fine.

When you order, buy a bunch of the teflon head washers (badger p/n 50055 & add prefix 99 for Dixie Art), I can't seem to find a regular 200 needle at Dixie art, you might have to order through Wyn-Wyn.

Since you already have the 200 with the medium head, why not get the 100LG with the fine ?  When I bought my 100LG I got the medium & ordered the fine head at the same time.  I find I use the medium the most.

Ok I still have my badger 200, but quite a few of you recommended the 100LG. But which one? Dixieart has only the fine needle one, Coast has them all and for great prices even with shipping.

Like my 200 that used the medium needle and it was good for everything.I mostly do cars and also armor and aircraft. So far i mostly use enamels, but I'm also ready to try acrylics as well.I figured this would be great for small detail jobs, and maybe my 200 would be good for overall bodies and larger jobs.

Sound like a plan? Ok so which one?
