As long as your primer coat is well applied & cured & the Alclad is cured, you should have no problems masking with Tamiya tape. Alclad dries very quickly, but I imagine that you would be better leaving it for about 18>24 hours before masking over.
Applying the tape, painting & removing the tape in reasonably rapid succession will also help avoid any problems, as the shorter the length of time the tape is applied, the less chance there is of any possible issues.
I have just noticed that this is your "first time", a few things;
Shake well, pour & spray without a break, as Alclad separates quickly.
The lip of Alclad bottle lends itself to pouring paint down the side of it's bottle & your airbrush - a pipette or syringe avoids this.
Practice on some scrap or whatever first, as Alclad is quite unlike most model paints to apply
