spray can "sprayers" and nozzles?

Mike, I have not tried that primer, but I'll certainly look into it! I just have to find a store that sells it. I'm pretty sure my LHS back in NY sold that line. I"m sure I can locate one down here in NC.

Have you tried Floquil's primer in their Railroad Color line? Good stuff.

Alsa (Alsa Corp of chrome paint fame) used to do nice can guns, but I only see a twin gun on their site (it isn't cheap either). Can guns are readily available (over here anyway) from automotive factors.

Up here we have a store called Canadian Tire. It's a hardware/Automotive/Department Store.

I think (99% sure) I saw them in Home Depot when I was there this weekend too.

I dunno what duplicolor is, but try a surf and skate shop (sounds silly i know) they often supply spray can nozzles for tag artists. Dont go to the high end places like amazon or any of those teeny bop places. Best bet, try and find a tag artist and ask them. I used to know of a couple places round my local area, problem is theyre now piles of rubble (grr stupid earthquake)

Thanks for the responses, guys--I was afraid of that; having to find a nozzle that fits! At least I know it can be done?

I've thought about decanting it, but that's so darned messy and time-consuming. I'd rather just fins a way to spray it from the can.

GRIFFIN--where'd you get that spray gun attachment?

What about decanting the spray and running it through you're AB?

I have one of the "spray-guns." I like it as I don't get as much overspray all over my fingers.

My question--does anyone know if there is a way to change the spray pattern? From what I can garner, you can only change the direction of the nozzle from vertical to horizontal.

Can you replace these nozzles by prying them off and putting a "regular" nozzle on them?

The spray from these fan nozzles is, as you suspect fixed in pattern / shape, although turning the tip around allows either a horizontal or vertical fan.

Yes these can be replaced with regular nozzles, but there are a few different sizes & styles out there, so you may have to work you way through the cupboard to get one that fits.

Also, I've heard that you can get a "spray gun"-type attachment that allows you to use the spray can like a spray gun, Anyone know anything about them?

More of a gimmick than anything else.
