"Future Floor Polish" as gloss base for decals

Thanks for the help and good advice, I'll give it a try.  It's a 1/32 P-39 so it will take a fairly large display case to enclose the model, but I do have a couple of sheets of clear acrylic and some acetone so I guess that I'll be in the garage for a couple of hours tomorrow...

several light coats built up over several minuites is better than putting it on too hevy and causing runs

At a guess I would say your spraying on to thick a coat and its pooling at rhese spots

When using Future, after I spray it over the parts.... leaving for it to cure... after which I tend to find blots of the future accumulating at the corners of the parts and this can be whitish in color or transparent... how do you prevent this blotting from happening?

No, shoot it straight out the bottle!

Cover the entire model!

When I've sprayed my clear coat (Future) I have an old acrylic  display case like you find in Hobby Lobby for protecting your models and I cover the model with that for at least 48 hours.  This will keep any dust in the air from settling on your freshly sprayed Future.

To clean out your airbrush afterwords might I suggest a thorough cleaning then run some Windex through it (or some other ammonia based cleaner).  Then I run a paint cup full of alcohol through to clear out the Windex; but that's just me!
