Depends,if yoy clear coat in enamel, then you must wash and weather in acyrilic,if you clear coat with acrylic, then you must use enamels or oils to weather.

Just don't weather with the same type of medium that you clear coat with.

Frankly, I'll use Krylon Clear Gloss for the decal coat and Krylon Clear Flat for the seal coat.  I've been happy with the results.  Rick.

Hello modelers,

I was wondering if I should use a gloss clear in a rattle can for finishing, or would it be better to buy a clear coat to spray with my airbrush? I tried using future on an old model, but I just don't like the results.  It doesn't spray on smooth and it seems I have to use way too many coats as it fills in the panel lines and everything.

So anyway, I don't want to lose the fine detail before I put a panel line wash and decals on my model. Is the testor's gloss and flat for the airbrush any good?
