Up to a certain point, you probably can. It is (in a limited way) possible to mix Tamiya acrylic and enamel (yes, they do make enamels) using Tamiya lacquer thinner as a common thinner, but there is no compelling reason to.
The only way to know is to try it and see if it works.
Ah-So!
Gimme a pigfoot, and a bottle of beer...
Cadet Chuck Another example of why ALL manufacturers need to clearly label their containers as to what the stuff is, in there! If in doubt, I mix up a test batch and see what brews up.

it is labled.....but in japanese....
I wasnt sure what the Mr Hobby was Laq or acrylic.-
Its both. Acrylic lacquer. Acrylic just means the type of binders/polymers that hold the pigments together..(I think)Its solvent based(strong) lacquer..thats why the Mr. Color thinner took all your paint off.
No...! You CAN mix Mr. Hobby aqueous with tamiya, works good, although I never really need to. Mr. Color solvent based stuff is its own deal, doesn't mix well with anything but its own kind...doesn't seem to mix well with Model Master enamels even...
yeah I used the x-20....the paint turned into little clumps in the thinner....I wasnt sure what the Mr Hobby was Laq or acrylic...I mean everything but the numbers are in japanese.... and Mr Color label,,,,..
carsanab I tried to use tamiya thinner with it...became a nice clump of goo....I wouldnt mix them...although the Mr Color thinner takes EVYTHING off....

Which thinner? I've thinned Gunze with Tamiya lacquer thinner before with no problem (the stuff seems very similar to Gunze lacquer thinners), but I could imagine X-20A having issues.
