Bick

Sounds to me that your nozzle cap is not firmly screwed on or the little teflon washer (back of nozzle where it screws into the AB) is faulty or missing.

Bick's answers look right to me.  Any time that has happened to me it is one of those two, usually the teflon washer. I keep several in stock and consider them as perishable supplies.

the cure for most problems is strip it down, clean it out, make sure its all screwed back together properly and check the needle tip is not bent/ damaged.

I had the same problem and it was a bent needle tip, just dragged it backwards ONLY on some micro mesh pads to get a straight fine tip again.

If this doesn't help check the little nozzle is not split. this can happen if you ram the needle in to hard.

I will check the washer, after 20 years dry, it may have gotten dry and is not sealing well.  Thanks

getting back to airbrushing questions
Posted by wolfhammer1 on Friday, November 30, 2012 11:11 PM

I fired up my Badger 150 airbrush for the first time in about 20 years last night , on a new set-up with a tanked air compressor and ran into something I had never seen or heard of before.  I was getting bubbles in the paint cup, and the brush did not seem to want to spray unless I had it pretty much wide open.  I have a new regulator, and it was reading between 20-30 psi to get any paint out.  I was using Model master acrylics, and thinned the paint out of ther bottle, but the brush did not even like shooting thinner when i was cleaning up.  what's going on, please
