Removing acrylic paint?
Posted by JerB on Friday, December 28, 2012 6:51 AM

Hi Guys

Is anybody aware of a product that will remove dried polyscale acrylic paint?

Thanks

Jeremy

I heard windex will strip acrylic paint but I don't know if that works after it has dried.

I have used Testor's ELO remover with good effect & no harm tp the plastic.

No ELO available here, but I have succesfully used oven cleaner (after it was suggested by Aaron Skinner) to strip a model of (most of the) paint.

It doesn't harm the plastic, but it smells like hell, so do it where you can ventilate.
