Painting Vacuform Canopies

I am building my first aircraft in decades, a 1/72 North American T-2C Buckeye. I used a vacuform canopy which I dipped in future before installation. After gluing it on, I masked it. I first painted the canopy frames flat black. I then primed the entire model and put on a gloss white topcoat. After the other colors are done, I plan to apply decals and the a clear topcoat. After all that, I will remove the masking tape from the canopy. Question: If I have any paint bleed under the tape is there any way to correct the problem such as cleaning the canopy with a q-tip and windex or I am just going to have a nervous breakdown. Thanks!
