I have it in another room and plumbed into my paint room for spraying wood projects so the noise level is low. I will add the moisture trap as jester75  recommended good idea.

I used one for several years, and it worked fine.  Was noisy as the devil, however. I eventually replaced it with a quiet compressor made for airbrush work.  I wore earphones, the big over the ear type, plugged into my shop radio, when I used that pancake compressor but it certain worked fine for airbrushing.

I have a pancake style compressor that is the only thing I have ever used since starting with an airbrush. I did install a water trap on mine but it really has never missed a lick.

Those are fine, providing ya don't mind the noise that accompanies them.

Thanks for the fast reply Snibs that is good news because the compressor is almost new and now I don't have to shell out more $$$. I checked the regulator and it will turn down to almost no pressure. Thanks again.

Hi Offduty.

As long as you can regulate it down to the required psi it does not matter how much it can put out. It has a tank on it from what I can see on google so it sounds ideal.

Cheers from Mick

I just purchased a Atawa airbrush and have never used one before. My question is I have one of those Pancake type compressors that is sold for using nail/staple guns that I use in my woodshop at home it gets up to 120 psi but has a regulator to decrease the output. What do you all think about using this compared to the ones made for airbrushes???
