MM Yellow Paint issues....

The yellow ZC color in Testors square bottle. Not the real deal. I have used plain flat white under yellow with very good results as well.

I keep a white primer on hand for yellow,  It has been years since I have seen ZC primer on store shelves (I heard it is a carcinogen).

try using Yellow Zinc Chromate as your primer coat.

I will have to try that, I am airbrushing it on and was using acryl and then switched to enamel to see if that helped, which it didnt lol. I am running a very thin mixture also due to it building up in the first place, right around a 50/50 mix. When i originally sprayed the acryl i was running light coats but it seemed to take so many to build up color and by that point it was too thick and covered detail. I will give it another shot with it though over the white to see if that works.

Are you airbrushing it on?  If so, many thin coats and build it up.  I use a white to light gray primer under my yellows.  I use acrylics, so spraying a thin coat or two and then it only takes a few minutes to dry up to the point where I can lay down another coat.
