I forgot that it's blue now. Big Smile [:D]
My bottle is old and it was almost the color of motor oil back then.

Snowy,

Send an email to Dave Monnig at Coast Airbrush and ask him about the blue granules in the bottom of the bottle. I am sure he will know.
His email address is: kustom@coastairbrush.com

QUOTE: Which brand of needle lube did you get?

Medea SuperLube, Mike. Mine isn't in a bottle though, it's in a tube, and I didn't notice any blue granules in it Snowy.

I have some Medea Super Lube, which I use sparingly just on the front half of the needle, it sure does make a difference. I would recommend this stuff and a small bottle should last a long long time. I was wondering though about the small blue granules in the bottom of the bottle, is that normal? If so does anybody know what they are. Just curious.

Cheers...Snowy.

It does slick them up a bit. I had never used it and picked some up today. Quite a bit smoother feel to it.

Sean,

The lube is not absolutely necessary but I would highly recommend it.
It makes the action of the airbrush smoother and it keeps paint from drying to the needle's surface. Some people use a very small dab of petroleum jelly but I don't recommend that as it can affect your paint if too much is used.

Is this item neccesary?

I have coming an Omni 4000, and a little later, a 360.

And I have read somewhere here about lubricating your airbrush.

Could someone clarify this for me a little please.

Thanks in advance.
