Hey guys! Long time reader, first time poster. First I wanna say many of you guys do awesome work and really inspire me to "up" my modeling game! Anyway, I'm hard at work on a Monogram version of a C-47 and just wanted your guys' opinion.
So the short of it is, I don't own an airbrush and currently work primarily with spray paints on larger models like this 1:48 scale. That said, I'm just about ready to start painting and I was wondering; is there any way to get any kind of shading effect using spray paints? The idea that I have is priming the base coat with different shades. Maybe kinda spotting all over with white, OD, and medium green? (The final coat will be the dark green). Would this work or will the final dark green just cover it, come out one tone and that'd be that? Thanks guys!
