Alclad does need some pretty serious shaking before use & even when properly mixed it starts to separate / settle very quickly - I only put as much as I need in the cup & even when doing larger areas I will tend to use a few ml at a time in the cup & refill often. If it's settling in the cup, it's possibly that excessive settled solids are getting pushed through the nozzle & causing tip-dry.

Alclad also seems to like as little pressure as possible, if you can, maybe try dialling it back even further.

Just a couple of ideas, but it does sound like there could be a bigger issue.

Alclad will tip dry pretty quick. First, make sure your airbrush is 110% clean to start with. Sounds like your PSI is ok, 10-14 works good. What size is the pasche tip? I wouldn't go smaller than .3. .4 or .5mm is better. Also, make sure you've shaken the bottle real well so the pigments are properly dispersed.

Do you have a filter in your paint cup?  If so metallic could be clogging it. I've never had an issue so just throwing out ideas

Alclad clogging problem...what am I doing wrong?

Hello:  I'm using Alcad paints for the first time.  I'm painting the exhaust area of a F-4 Phantom.  I first laid down Alclad's gloss black as a base coat.  I had no problems at all:  no clogs, paint went on smoothly and adhered well.  I'm now spraying Alclad's Aluminum paint using a Paasche H airbrush set to the recommended 12-15 psi and using a #3 tip.  My problem is that the tip clogs almost instantly.  If I pause for even 1-2 seconds, the tip clogs and I have to clean the tip with lacquer cleaner on a q-tip.  Even if I spray continuously, without pausing, the tip will eventually clog.

So, what am I doing wrong?  I have not thinned the paint as I read that you don't have too.  The paint is going down well, looks good, and is adhering well.

Thanks for any tips or suggestions.
