Mr Hobby/Color paints?
Posted by BKR1888 on Saturday, March 14, 2015 5:34 PM

I'm looking at a model kits instructions and it advises me to use Mr Hobby/Color paints. Now on the sheet that shows the building instructions it says to use H 89|77 but on the sheet with the aircraft's paint scheme it tells me to use H 77|137. Why doe's it have this and what should I do with these instructions as it seems to be a continuing theme on other parts of the build. I appreciate the help.

What kit? Colors change according to scheme. Is it an exterior or interior scheme?

The particular part I'm referring to is the tyres on the Trumpeter 1:48 FW200C-4 Condor. Although its just Mr Hobby/Color paints in general. Why in instructions do they have two numbers as opposed to one.

H77 is tire black. Gunze has 2 lines of paint, the aqueous and the lacquers, hence the 2 diffferent codes

Now is that why one box is white and the other black? White = Aqueous and Black = Lacquers?

H308 would be Aqueous Hobby Color and C308 would be Mr Color, for example.  In the US it is almost impossible to find Aqueous Hobby Color anymore.
