I'm not quite a Badger fan, but I had a 350 before, so I went with the Badger again.

He may be travelling right now as I haven't heard from him in a few days also.

calm down fellows, its all relative. mike claims badger is the best, but hasnt tried an iwata. others on here claim iwata to be the best but have never tried a badger. ive tried both and like the iwata better. the next poster will have tried both and think the omni or badger is better. as we should all know by now, its the airbrush that satisfies our own psycological pet peeves that we will claim to be the best. i personally have never had to use customer service using either brand of airbrush which i think speaks highly of the quality of both companies. im a fence rider in a way, ill use my omni for enamels and my iwata for acrylics. which do i use the most, acrylics. but my omni is such a good airbrush, i cant just let it collect dust. love, saltydog.

I have received mails from Ken in response to questions posed on this forum.

I can't imagine many other CEOs doing that!!!!

As for the product, having used a 200 for the last year, I have just ordered an Omni 4000, as I figure I just can't go wrong with another Badger brush.

Scott,

That is typical of Ken Schlotfeldt. Not only is he the President of Badger he is also the owner and I am glad to say he is a friend of mine. If you send him an email and you don't hear back within a day or so then he is probably traveling, but I always get answers to my questions for him and he is more helpful than any other airbrush manufacturer. That is why Badger is the #1 airbrush in the world and rightly so. Wink [;)]

Yes, Badger makes some good airbrushes and stand by there products. I have been using them for years for model work and only have one complaint. I only wish the finish was better, I can't stand to see the machining marks on the body of my 100LG when my other airbrushes from other manufacturors don't have any.

I had a problem with my model 200. I sent it to them and they fixed it at no charge to me. I have 3 Badgers 2 200s and 1 150 model. The company stands by it's product and if you need help or have a question they get back to you quick with the answer.

Yeah, sorry, I didn't even think of it in that context when I wrote it. I was in a hurry to get out of the office. My mistake.

It would have worked, but been slightly different

Try this email address: Kenbadger@aol.com It isn't a secret since he posted it here a couple of months ago. Bet you get an answer.

QUOTE: IMHO, they should fix the problem(i.e. ship the correct part) from their side and simply send you a note with a short explanation as to why you are getting a different part number than you ordered.
Sounds to me like they let you jump through a few hoops to fix a fault of their own.

As usual there are always 2 sides to everything.

I sent an e-mail to Badger 2 weeks ago regarding Omni AB's, and haven't heard a thing back.

Maybe it's just cause I'm from OS, quite a few places I've sent e-mails to in the states just don't reply, so far the most helpful lot have been Coast Air, and the least, Bear Air and Badger.

This doesn't mean they are not helpful and reliable, but in my mind it's hasn't done them any favours.

OTOH, I don't have the problem with my Wave airbrushes over here, as I simply pop over to the LHS and buy the part I need or get it ordered within 2 days at no extra charge.

As MikeV says, their customer service can't be beat.

I sent them an email this morning asking about a part for my airbrush. Got an answer about an hour later telling me the part number and where I can order it.

Got another email about an hour after that from the president of Badger, Ken Schlotfeldt. He said, "I just received a copy of your email exchange with our info@badgerairbrush.com email center." and that they had given me the wrong part number. He went on to say, "If not, let us know who you ordered it from so we can contact them and correct the order for you before shipment is made."

Now, let's analyze this a bit ... first he says that he "just received a copy of your [my] email" which indicates that the president of Badger looks at the tech support messages. First Thumbs Up [tup]

Second he took the time to let me know, immediately, that they had maed a mistake with the part number. Second Thumbs Up [tup]

Finally, he didn't say he was writing to let me know the part number was wrong so that **I** could correct the order before it was shipped, he said, "so **we** [emphasis mine] can contact them and correct the order for you before shipment is made". Third Thumbs Up [tup]

Find me many other companies that would do that. There aren't many at all, and when I find one I remember it. In fact, when I find one that treats me the other way I remember that to Evil [}:)]
