Hi! I've been having a bit of of problem with Vallejo paints being extraordinarily fragile even after they've had days to cure. I've had to make sure that I never handle the piece with my bare hands because the little moisture on my finger tips has rubbed the paint down to the Tamiya surface primer. I've also had problems masking, with little bits sometimes lifting with the tamiya masking tape.
I thought I might try throwing a top coat over the first color to give it some protection before I mask for the next color. Is this a viable option? Would the paint adhere to the top coat well enough? I have alclad's aqua gloss which is safe on vallejo, and I also have the other, lacquer based alclad top coats which I've been able to spray over vallejo in thin coats.
Thanks!
