color for underside of body

I have not made a car model in a long time,but that's the color of my personal car,maybe an aluminum muffler,but it's really just black underneath,unless your dealing with a custom job.

It depends on what your building and how accurate you want to be. If I'm building with no intent of accuracy I'll go with black lots of times. For accuracy's sake particularly with Dodge or Chrysler muscle cars of the 60's and 70's they were usually painted with like an overspray of the body color with some primer on the "missed spots".

What I mean is the indise of the body...like where the headliner would be on the "inside of the car".

Depends on the color scheme of the interior of the automobile you're doing. Take a good example by looking inside your own car. There is no standard, nor right or wrong color scheme. 

Google hot rod interiors and you'll find tons of images/ideas.

In that case I'll stick with the color theme for the rest of the interior. Black is a safe color for most interior colors though. Sorry for the misunderstanding.

When I do auto interiors, I prefer to skip black and do a 2-tone color scheme instead. White exterior? I will go with either tan, red or red/white. If going with black interior, I'll do a 2-tone scheme instead. Who's to say black is a standard color? Use your imagination. Add a little pizzazz to the car's interior!
